Paradise Valleyby ~Makapo

A pretty area known as Paradise Valley. At one time, it was even more like paradise. The yellow areas in the valley are the remnants of an old lake. Back in the '80s (88 I believe) an earthquake struck the area and fractured the valley floor and it hasn't held water since. I was very young when that happened, so I don't remember what it once looked like. But can you imagine how beautiful this valley was when it had the lake?

You are so very welcome!! We stopped in Utah at another lake, and they had it closed because a earthquake had put a split in the bottom and the water was draining, wonder if it is the same place?

Well, this is on the highway between I-70 and Loa,Utah. Its kind of on the way to Capitol Reef National Park as well as Bryce Canyon National Park. Well one of many ways.
